Responsible to maintain accurately and timely the financial books of the given scope of Legal entities.

This position will be based in Egypt and working remotely to AMEWA Regional Finance Team
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ownership of data accuracy in the books

Manage smooth closings of the books across the scope of entities

Provide accurate, timely and appropriate accounting information to meet Corporate Reporting requirements (Magnitude tool)

Maintain GL Reconciliations for audit purposes (including but not limited to bank reconciliations, payroll, prepayments, accrued liabilities)

Regular review of balance sheet with the Regional Chief Accountant and associated CFO.

Lead, coordinate with and train the accounting shared services center team (Infosys based in Bangalore, India) for the associated scope
- Ensure that suppliers are managed to meet contractual obligations.

Maintain accurate accounting records and timely payments

Follow-up and coordination with Shared Services Centre (Infosys based in Bangalore)
- Ensure effective hedging instruments are utilized to mitigate foreign exchange risk together with the associated entries in the books.

Management of the netting campaigns for all entities under scope

Book petty cash entries for all entities
- Incorporate YAL and ICQ principles into the accounting processes and measure its effectiveness as an identified control measure.

Actively participate to the annual external audit process, including relationship with external auditors, preparing financial statements, schedules and reconciliations.

Complies with international (IFRS) and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Actively contribute to supporting other departments as Finance business partner (Purchasing process, payment process, HR/Finance related topics, etc)

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a multinational environment.

Excellent knowledge of IFRS

Extensive experience with SAP or Oracle

Audit background is a plus.

CPA Degree or equivalent (ACCA, DSCG, etc)
