Position Overview

As a market leader in fiber optic networks, SubCom is expanding its business with a global network management service offering. This PE-backed venture involves setting up and maintaining the financial support required for a large-scale, multi-national investment. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the implementation of the Company's new ERP, NetSuite, with potential to become NetSuite certified. The accounting specialist will perform the accounts receivable functions including the creation of customer invoices, cash receipts, collections, the accounts payable function of preparing payment vouchers and processing payments, in addition to GL responsibilities including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management in design, testing and deployment of NetSuite with the focus on GL Accounting, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay.
  • Assist in the creation of documentation for new processes and training.
  • Manage accounts receivable including invoicing according to lease/contract, collecting on overdue accounts and processing cash receipts.
  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoice to payment.
  • Manage ACH transaction and payment schedules.
  • Prepare general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience with AP and AR functions.
  • Experience with general ledger reconciliations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products and ERP systems, NetSuite a plus.
