Accounting Specialist

Position Type: Part-Time (10–20 hours per week)

Location: In person only

Role Overview:

Currently operating on QuickBooks Desktop and transitioning to QuickBooks Online. Seeking a senior-level bookkeeper or accounting systems specialist to lead migration and build an automated accounting system and heavy AI usage and intergration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead migration from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online

- Clean and restructure the chart of accounts

- Set up bank feeds and automation rules

- Integrate AP, expense tracking, and payroll tools

- Produce monthly financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

- Improve processes and reduce manual work

- Maintain books part-time- we are a mature company seeking a part-time person for two( 2 ) days a week- and then three days a week- once a month-; in the Fall we are seeking someone three( 3) days a week- permanently-

Required Qualifications:

- 7+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience

- Proven QuickBooks Desktop → Online migration experience

- Advanced QuickBooks Online skills

- Experience with Bill.com, Ramp, Gusto, Zapier or similar

- Strong reporting and systems mindset

- Ability to work independently

Preferred:

- Real estate or construction accounting experience- sophisticated around real estate and loan closings-

- Experience building accounting systems
