Accounting Specialist (KS)

A Japanese-owned, global IT solutions provider supporting the automotive industry is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team near Plano, TX. This role offers the opportunity to expand your accounting skills in a collaborative, international environment. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals, gaining exposure to both U.S. and Japanese business practices.

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts daily and monthly.
• Process AR and AP transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate payments via online banking and check issuance.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations and prepare monthly reports.
• Maintain vendor and customer account data.
• Resolve AP/AR issues and manage special billing requests.
• Assist with tax-related filings and compliance.
• Contribute to month-end close, payroll, and ledger updates.
• Support management with ad-hoc accounting projects.

Accounting Specialist Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience (1–3 years).
• Familiarity with accounting principles and corporate finance processes.
• Basic Conversational Japanese language ability is Major Plus.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office; knowledge of sales tax preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
