About the Job
The Accounting & Tax Leader lead our finance operations at the Lüleburgaz manufacturing site. This is a pivotal role where you will build, stabilize, and optimize the accounting function while ensuring full compliance with Turkish statutory requirements and global standards.
Main responsibilities:
As an Accounting & Tax Leader, you will manage the accounting team, oversee financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and act as a strategic partner to site leadership. You will play a key role in driving process excellence, digital transformation, and financial integrity across all accounting operations.
Leadership & Team Management

Lead, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing accounting team covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Revceivable, and Fixed Assets

Organize workloads, set clear priorities, and ensure timely and accurate execution of accounting operations

Provide coaching, mentoring, and regular performance feedback to team members

Build and stabilize the finance organization in a post-acquisition/transition environment
Financial Accounting & Reporting

Oversee accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing activities in compliance with deadlines

Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting adjustments

Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger in compliance with Turkish Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS), IFRS, and Sanofi corporate accounting policies (SAGA rules)

Prepare and review statutory financial statements and internal management reports

Ensure proper integration of ERP modules and maintain data consistency across systems

Support consolidation processes and provide financial data to Group Finance
Internal Controls & Compliance

Establish and strengthen internal control processes across accounting.

Ensure strict compliance with Turkish statutory obligations and digital reporting (GIB).

Act as primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.

Implement and enforce group finance policies and standards.
Process Optimization & Digital Transformation

Drive automation, process standardization, and operational efficiency across accounting functions

Support ERP system improvements, data quality initiatives, and potential system transitions

Implement digital finance tools such as OCR, workflow automation, and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) where relevant

Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance accounting processes and reduce manual work

Adapt accounting processes to new digital tools and technologies
Treasury, Cash & Working Capital Management

Support day-to-day treasury operations including cash positioning, bank reconciliations, and payment processes

Monitor Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable performance to improve working capital discipline

Ensure correct accounting treatment of cash transactions, loans, intercompany flows, and foreign exchange transactions

Coordinate closely with the accounting and controlling teams to prepare cash forecast.
Tax & Regulatory Oversight

Ensure full compliance with Turkish tax regulations including VAT (KDV), corporate income tax, withholding tax, stamp tax

Coordinate statutory audits with external auditors

Oversee tax filings, declarations, and interactions with external tax advisors

Monitor regulatory and fiscal changes in Turkey and assess their accounting and tax impact
About you
Skills, Experience & Knowledge requirements:
Technical Skills
-
Strong expertise in Turkish statutory rules, tax requirements, and TFRS.

Advanced proficiency in ERP systems.
Soft Skills

Proven leadership experience in building or stabilizing a finance function.

Hands-on, autonomous, reliable, able to navigate a transition environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Languages: Advanced both verbal and written Turkish and English, (French a plus).
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years experience in industrial accounting within an international environment.
