Account/Project Manager - SEO

The Role:

We are looking for a proactive, revenue-driven, and relationship-focused Account Manager to manage, retain, and grow our clients. This role combines consultative selling with strategic account management, ensuring strong client satisfaction while actively driving revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and renewals.

The ideal candidate understands SEO fundamentals, can confidently discuss strategy and performance metrics with clients, and has the commercial mindset to convert opportunities into revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of clients, ensuring long-term partnerships
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding campaigns, performance, and strategy
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying upselling opportunities (additional keywords, markets, services, content, technical SEO, etc.)
  • Cross-sell complementary digital services where applicable
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and retention targets
  • Lead client meetings, strategy discussions, and performance reviews
  • Present SEO reports including KPIs such as traffic growth, rankings, conversions, and ROI
  • Collaborate with SEO, Content, Technical, and Outreach teams to align campaign execution with client goals
  • Handle contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and commercial discussions
  • Maintain accurate revenue forecasts and pipeline updates in CRM
  • Monitor account health, client satisfaction, and churn risks
  • Proactively identify expansion opportunities within enterprise or multi-brand accounts
  • Ensure SLA adherence and timely delivery of SEO milestones

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (O/A Levels background preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Sales Account Manager, Account Manager, or Business Development Executive in an SEO/Digital Agency
  • Strong understanding of SEO (On-page, Off-page, Technical SEO, Keyword Strategy, Analytics)
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue and retention targets
  • Strong negotiation, pitching, and closing skills
  • Experience handling high-value or international clients
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Google Workspace/MS Office
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Results-oriented with a commercial mindset
