ACCOUNT ASSISTANT
Location: Bandra, Mumbai.
Reporting To: Director
Job Purpose
To assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, support day-to-day accounting operations, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements for the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP/accounting software.
- Record all sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries accurately.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and customer accounts regularly.
- Handle petty cash and maintain cash books.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and payments.
- Prepare and send customer invoices; follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain an updated list of debtors and creditors.
- Verify vendor bills against purchase orders and goods received notes.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliances.
- Maintain all statutory registers and documentation related to GST, TDS, PF, and ESI (if applicable).
- Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities.
4. Payroll Assistance (if required)
- Support in salary processing and maintain employee reimbursement/advance records.
- Ensure compliance with PF/ESI/PT deductions.
5. Inventory & Cost Tracking
- Assist in tracking raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory from an account’s perspective.
- Help in costing and variance analysis for different product lines.
6. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements, cash flow statements, and management reports.
- Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support in preparing schedules and documents for audits.
7. Coordination
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and vendors as required.
- Coordinate with internal departments like production, sales, and logistics for financial data.
Qualifications & Experience
- B. Com / M. Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
- 4-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the textile/apparel or manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with Tally, ERP or similar accounting software.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other Indian tax laws.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic MIS preparation.

Remuneration:
Between 3.00 to 4.00 Lacs Per Annum

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
