About the Role
Our client, a leading real estate development company, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager Accounts & Finance to oversee the organization's financial operations, accounting functions, budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, managing project finances, and supporting strategic business decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor cash flows, financial performance, and liquidity requirements.
- Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Accounting Operations
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and maintenance of accounting records.
- Review and approve journal entries, payment vouchers, and financial documentation.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and project cost records.
Real Estate & Project Finance
- Monitor project budgets, construction costs, and development expenditures.
- Conduct project-wise profitability analysis and cost control reviews.
- Coordinate with project and procurement teams regarding financial planning and expenditures.
- Track customer receivables, payment plans, and revenue recognition.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial data.
Team Leadership & Systems Management
- Supervise and support the accounts and finance team.
- Ensure efficient utilization of accounting software and financial systems.
- Drive process improvements and financial reporting efficiencies.
- Train and mentor finance staff where required.
Requirements
- ACCA, CA, CMA, MBA Finance, M.Com, or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably within the real estate, construction, or property development sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and audit processes.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, ERP systems, and other accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing finances for real estate development or construction projects.
- Familiarity with project costing, cash flow forecasting, and investment analysis.
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CA, or CMA will be preferred.
