Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Accountant to support the finance department in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting processes and be able to contribute to the smooth functioning of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Process invoices, ensuring proper approval and timely payment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Bank Reconciliation:
  • Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records.
  • Investigate discrepancies and take corrective actions.
  • General Ledger:
  • Assist with posting journal entries and updating general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure all accounting records are maintained in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare reports for management on budget variances, expenses, and other financial data.
  • Accounts Reconciliation:
  • Perform periodic reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Assist the senior accountant or finance manager with administrative tasks as required.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for all accounting-related documents.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles (internships or part-time positions can be considered)
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.).

· Female and Male Candidates are preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,700.00 - AED2,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • accounts assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
