The Accounts Assistant supports the finance team with daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial records, invoices, payments, and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and financial statements.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Process invoices, bills, expense claims, and payment vouchers.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and company accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and financial summaries.
- Assist with audit requirements by providing necessary documentation.
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation.
- Respond to internal and external financial inquiries professionally.
- Perform general administrative support for the finance department.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and numerical skills.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (fresh graduates may apply).
Work Environment:
- Office-based role with regular interaction with finance and administrative teams.
