Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintained books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances
- Handled cost accounting: product costing, BOM review, WIP, and variance analysis
- Prepared monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Managed inventory accounting: stock valuation, reconciliation, slow-moving and obsolete inventory analysis
- Conducted manufacturing cost analysis and monitored production expenses
- Performed budgeting and forecasting, including comparison of actual vs budgeted costs
- Managed accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Coordinated with production, purchase, and stores departments for cost control and reporting
- Handled GST / VAT / Sales Tax compliance (returns, reconciliations, and filings)
- Assisted in statutory audits, internal audits, and cost audits
- Reconciled bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer balances
- Ensured compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Prepared MIS reports for management decision-making
- Supported month-end and year-end closing activities
