Profile - Accounts Executive

Position Overview - The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the financial operations within the college. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle various accounting tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transactions Management:
  • Process and record financial transactions, including tuition fees, grants, donations, and other revenue.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, and expense reimbursements.
  • Account Reconciliation:
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and account balances.
  • Budget Monitoring:
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets.
  • Track expenditures and provide reports on budget status.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare financial reports for internal use and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for audits.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with college financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation of all financial transactions and records.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide support to students, faculty, and staff regarding financial inquiries and issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in accounting or financial management is a plus.
  • Experience working in an educational or non-profit environment is advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Tally).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional evening or weekend hours.
  • Work is performed in an office setting with standard office equipment.
