Accounts Executive

Amity International School Abu Dhabi is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive to join our dynamic finance team in Abu Dhabi. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional to contribute to our growing organization.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Executive with strong UAE experience to manage our financial operations and ensure compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting principles, VAT compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable
• Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Manage imprest cash funds, including disbursement, replenishment, and reconciliation
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE tax regulations
• Provide support during internal and external audits with proper documentation
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties and special projects

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory)
• Must be currently based in Abu Dhabi, UAE
