Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and creative Copy Editor to join our team at RetailME Magazine. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent proofreading skills, and the ability to conduct engaging online interviews. They will play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our content while contributing to the overall editorial process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proofreading and Editing:
• • Edit and proofread articles, features, and other content for grammar, punctuation, style, and accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to the magazine's editorial guidelines and tone.
• Story Development:
• • Collaborate with writers and contributors to refine and enhance story ideas.
  • Provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality and engaging content.
• Online Interviews:
• • Conduct insightful online interviews with industry leaders, experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Research and prepare interview questions to align with editorial objectives.
• Content Management:
• • Assist in managing content schedules and deadlines for each issue.
  • Coordinate with designers and other team members to ensure seamless production.
• Industry Trends:
• • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the retail and media industries.
  • Suggest relevant topics and ideas for future issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in copy editing, journalism, or a similar role.
• Exceptional command of English, with excellent grammar and editing skills.
• Strong ability to write and edit in a clear, concise, and engaging style.
• Experience conducting interviews, preferably online, is a plus.
• Knowledge of retail or media industry trends is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
