Job Summary
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations of the hotel and restaurant, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, and timely reporting to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounting entries for hotel and restaurant operations
- Prepare and verify daily revenue reports (Rooms, F&B, Banquets, POS)
- Handle cash, bank, and petty cash management
- Reconcile POS systems, guest bills, and folios
- Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and follow-ups
- Maintain inventory and stock records in coordination with stores
- Prepare and file GST/VAT/TDS returns as applicable
- Assist in monthly closing, P&L statements, and MIS reports
- Coordinate with Front Office, F&B, Stores, and Management
- Support internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of hotel & restaurant accounting procedures
- Experience with accounting software (Tally, IDS, Opera, or similar)
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and coordination skills
Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / Accounting-related degree or diploma
- 1–3 years of experience in hotel or restaurant accounts preferred
Preferred Experience
- Experience handling POS systems and hospitality ERP software
- Knowledge of taxation and statutory compliance in hospitality sector
