Job Summary
The Accounts Executive is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper financial record management. This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and track invoices, ensuring timely payments and proper documentation.
- Manage and reconcile vendor statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform general ledger accounting and ensure proper coding of transactions.
- Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Track company expenses and ensure compliance with approved budgets and policies.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with local tax laws and accounting regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required financial reports and documentation.
- Maintain organized financial files and records, including schedules for depreciation, accruals, and amortization.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries.
- Coordinate with other departments (sales, procurement, HR) to verify financial data.
- Respond to financial inquiries from employees, vendors, and customers as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
