Job Description – Senior Accounts & Finance Manager

Role Overview
The Senior Accountant & Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of Missan Group and its subsidiaries. This role will lead financial planning, reporting, compliance, and risk management while driving efficiency and digitalization in finance operations. The candidate will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, ensuring fiscal discipline, cost optimization, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Management & Planning
- Oversee all financial operations of Missan Group and its brands, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, MIS reports, and dashboards.
- Conduct VAT filing in compliance with UAE tax laws; ensure timely returns.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances promptly.
- Manage inventory accounting, stock audits, and product costing to support pricing and margin optimization.
- Handle month-end and year-end closings (ledger review, accruals, and journal entries).
- Support cash flow management, forecasting, and working capital optimization.
- Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards and internal controls.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor junior accountants and finance team members.
2. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with UAE and India financial regulations and labor laws.
- Oversee tax planning, VAT, and corporate tax compliance.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks across the group.
- Develop strong internal control processes to safeguard company assets.

3. Coordination with India Finance Team
- Manage and supervise backend accounting handled by the India finance team.
- Streamline processes for invoice processing, expense entries, reconciliations, and payment follow-ups.
- Ensure timely consolidation of group-wide accounts.
4. Departmental Authority & Financial Oversight
- Review and approve departmental budgets and major expenditures.
- Work closely with Operations, HR, Procurement, and Marketing teams to ensure financial discipline.
- Monitor vendor payments, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
5. System & Process Optimization
- Drive ERP/financial system automation and digitization (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, POS, Payroll).
- Continuously improve accounting processes for speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and resource optimization projects.
6. Financial Reporting to Leadership
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to CEO and Group Leadership.
- Deliver strategic financial insights, forecasts, and investment recommendations.
- Highlight risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely submission of monthly/quarterly financial reports.
- Budget variance control within acceptable limits.
- Maintain minimum liquidity threshold as per company policy.
- Zero non-compliance findings in audits.
- Successful implementation of cost optimization initiatives (at least 2 per quarter).
- Effective coordination with India finance team (tracked via reports & task completion).
Qualifications & Skills
- Master degree in Accounting, Finance(Master’s / MBA preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA (preferred).
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, IFRS, and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
- Experience in multi-entity group accounting.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage cross-border teams (UAE & India).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
