We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee the financial operations of the organization and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting team, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, preparing financial reports, and providing insights to support strategic financial decisions. This role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to streamline processes for improved efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
- Supervise, mentor, and manage the performance of the accounting team.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., Indian GAAP, Ind AS).
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and other statutory compliance.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
- Monitor budgets and forecasts, analyze financial performance, and prepare variance reports.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
- Handle payroll accounting, employee reimbursements, and related compliance.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, auditors, vendors, and government authorities.
- Support the senior management with financial analysis, MIS reports, and strategic decision-making.
- Stay current with financial regulations and accounting standards and ensure company practices remain compliant.
- Manage and optimize working capital, including receivables and payables.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives in the finance function.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. CA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Experience: 5–8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Leadership: Strong team management and mentoring skills with the ability to lead and develop an accounting team.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
