Job Description - Accounts Manager

Qualification:MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com with relevant experience
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee and manage all accounting operations within the organization.
The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of real estate accounting, compliance, and financial reporting.
This role involves ensuring accurate books of accounts, timely statutory compliance, and supporting management in decision-making with accurate financial data.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
- Ensure timely preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts for multiple real estate projects.
- Prepare MIS reports for management with revenue, expense, and cash flow analysis.
2. Real Estate Project Accounting
- Track and monitor collections and outstanding payments from customers.
- Work with sales team to reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain project profitability, cost escalation, and variance analysis.
3. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns are filed accurately and on time.
- Liaise with auditors for audits and statutory filings.
- Stay updated on tax laws and real estate regulations.
4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flow positions and manage fund allocation for projects.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for loans and working capital.
5. Process Improvement & Controls
- Implement and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Streamline accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Support management in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of real estate accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a team and coordinate with cross-functional departments.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a real estate development company is mandatory.
- Experience handling multiple projects and large-scale transactions.
- Exposure to project financing and escrow account management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and MIS.
- Zero non-compliance in statutory filings (GST, TDS, etc.).
- Efficient cash flow management and fund allocation.
- Accuracy of project costing and revenue recognition.
- Effective team management and process improvements.
