Accounts Officer

Gradvisors Pvt. Ltd. is a pioneering organization specializing in academic and career counselling, committed to providing top-notch professional development services. We are currently seeking a dedicated Accounts Officer to manage the organization’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling financial transactions, managing ledgers, tax calculations, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role is integral in supporting budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting to ensure the economic health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update the personal or organization’s financial records, ledgers, and journals.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice preparation, tracking payments, and maintaining records.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, ensuring the proper handling of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and manage payroll, employee reimbursements, and tax submissions (if applicable).
  • Calculate taxes, ensure proper tax calculations, and stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Lead taxation processes, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with tax authorities.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage petty cash, and handle financial transactions efficiently.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data, company information, and employee records.
  • Manage ledgers and have expertise in handling complex accounting software.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Proven work experience of 2+ years in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Strong proficiency in managing ledgers, invoicing, and tax calculations.
  • In-depth knowledge of taxation laws, tax filing, and compliance procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, or similar).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data entry skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage financial transactions efficiently.
