Accounts Officer

Job Summary:

The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, timely reporting, compliance with internal controls, and support in budgeting and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system
  • Prepare and post journal entries, vouchers, and reconciliations
  • Process payments, invoices, and petty cash transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage bank correspondence
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and organizational policies
  • Support internal and external audits with required documentation
  • Assist in payroll processing and related statutory deductions (e.g., EOBI, tax)
  • Monitor and report on expenditures, budgets, and variances
  • Maintain vendor and customer ledgers and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform any other financial duties assigned by the line manager

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (B.Com, BBA, or equivalent)
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP, Peachtree)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of financial regulations and practices
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
