Accounts Payable

Cruser Mitchell, a nationally recognized litigation defense firm, is seeking an experienced individual to join our Accounts Payable team in Atlanta. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, organized, and detail oriented person to handle the corporate accounts payable for our firm. The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, and comfortable managing a high volume of transactions with accuracy and confidentiality.

Tasks:

• Work closely with our billing department regarding invoices to be paid and billed back to our clients
• Review bills and checks requests for coding purposes
• Checking client guidelines to ensure we are supposed to pay and bill and communicating when it's against guidelines
• Ensuring that appropriate backup is included with each payment to be made
• Enter all bills and check requests into the AP system and Cut Checks
• Follow up with employees to receive appropriate back up for all credit card charges and expense reimbursements submitted
• Maintaining a file for W-9's for all vendors and requesting a new one each year
• Making sure Vendor Setup is complete with appropriate 1099 box settings for accurate reporting
• Verify correct address for all 1099 Contract payments and other various payments that may need to be sent via FedEx prior to sending
• Issue check payments timely and verify information on backup matches information on check prior to releasing
• Scan back up to electronic file cabinet for record keeping

Skills and requirements:

• 2+ years accounts payable experience
• Effective communication skills
• Experienced user of office products, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to prioritize and reprioritize as needed
• High attention to detail
• Strong problem solving and time management skills

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
