We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our fiscal team. In this entry-level role, you will assist with a variety of accounting and fiscal support functions, helping to ensure financial information is accurate and processed in a timely manner. Responsibilities may include reviewing documents, entering and maintaining financial records, and supporting daily accounting activities under the guidance of experienced team members.

Assist with entering and reviewing payment information to ensure documents are complete and required information is included. Verify data entered into financial systems for accuracy and completeness. Work with team members to resolve routine issues and obtain missing documentation when needed. Support the processing of payment documents in the Wyoming Online Financial System (WOLFS) and perform basic reviews before documents are submitted for final approval.

Review and process authorizations in case management systems to support accurate payments to vendors and clients. Verify payment amounts and service information to help ensure records are complete and accurate.

Assist with creating and maintaining vendor records in WOLFS by collecting required information, entering data, and preparing documentation for submission to the State Auditor's Office as needed. Help answer routine questions related to vendor setup and payments.

Provide support to the Fiscal Manager and fiscal team with special projects, reports, and data requests. Duties may include gathering information, organizing records, maintaining spreadsheets, and assisting with basic research. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Finance)
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting Technician
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting Technician
