Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and committed Accounts Payable Officer who takes full ownership of the Accounts Payable function. The ideal candidate is genuinely interested in the role, understands the importance of accuracy and compliance, and is fully aware of every transaction processed within the company. This role requires strong communication skills, procedural discipline, and prior experience in construction, waste management, or similar operational industries.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, ensuring all payable documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with company procedures
- Review, verify, and process invoices, contracts, delivery notes, purchase orders, and supporting documents
- Maintain full knowledge and understanding of each transaction, including the purpose, related job, purchase, service, or project
- Ensure all payables are supported by proper documentation and approvals before submission
- Maintain and strictly follow the Accounts Payable checklist and internal controls
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, site teams, and other departments to obtain accurate and complete information
- Proactively follow up on missing or unclear details and escalate issues appropriately when required
- Prepare accurate payable schedules, ageing reports, and payment summaries
- Ensure timely processing of payments while maintaining cost control and compliance
- Maintain organized and auditable records for internal and external audits
- Assist with month-end closing related to Accounts Payable
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations

Experience & Background Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Mandatory experience in construction, waste management, heavy machinery, industrial, or similar operational sectors
- Familiarity with project-based payables, subcontractor invoices, material purchases, and service contracts
- Experience working with ERP/accounting systems and Excel
