The Opportunity

Lehmann Maupin is a global, blue-chip contemporary art gallery operating across New York, London, and Seoul. We are seeking an agile, detail-driven AP Accountant to own our daily international transactional operations.

This role is execution-focused, centering on high-value outgoing payments, complex international wire routing, and cross-border currency management. By directly supporting our artists, global vendors, and internal sales teams, you will ensure our high-complexity financial operations move flawlessly across multiple borders. This position requires an exceptional level of accuracy, discretion, and the ability to apply analytical judgment to sense-check numbers and catch anomalies.

Your Impact

• Global Cash and Vendor Management : Own international AP processes, managing wire and ACH distributions across global banking platforms and handling multi-currency nuances.
• Operational Anchor : Run the end-to-end employee expense reimbursement process and support core HR processes including payroll processing, PTO tracking, pre-tax benefits and recruitment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with sales and operations teams to ensure payments are responsive to the needs of the business and clients. Track incoming revenue, record transaction data, and clearly communicate transaction status to internal stakeholders to drive next steps.

What You Bring

• Core Experience : 3+ years managing complex, high-value international transaction cycles, with deep knowledge of AP operations and foreign currency nuances.
• Tech Stack : Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Mindset : A proactive problem-solver who enjoys highly accurate, precision-focused daily workflows and prioritizes effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Art sector experience is a significant plus, but not required.
