Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable processes. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices using accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, and HRIS systems
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of payable records
  • Manage data entry related to accounts payable transactions with high accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to accounts payable and vendor payments
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments
  • Maintain organized records of all transactions for audit purposes
  • Support bookkeeping activities and assist with accounts receivable tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with human resources for payroll processing using systems like UltiPro or ADP

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software including Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, and HRIS systems
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and account reconciliation techniques
  • Experience with bookkeeping and general accounting practices
  • Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal teams
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as UltiPro or ADP is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial records

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.34 - $21.65 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
