Brief Description
Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting the Company’s financial operations by processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities

Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner

Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation (3-way match)

Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts

Prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers)

Verify pricing, quantities, and approval authorization prior to payment

Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues

Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships

Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting

Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements

Support continuous process improvements within the AP function
Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience

Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) preferred

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Basic understanding of accounting principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry
