Key Responsibilities:
1. Invoice Processing & Verification
Receive, review, and verify supplier invoices related to raw materials (yarn, fabric, dyes, trims, etc.).
Match invoices with purchase orders, GRNs (Goods Received Notes), and supporting documentation.
Ensure proper cost center and department coding for textile production-related expenses.
2. Vendor Payments & Reconciliations
Prepare and process payments via cheque, bank transfer, or LC (Letter of Credit) in line with payment terms.
Maintain vendor reconciliation statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and prevent supply disruption.
3. Financial Recording & Reporting
Record payable transactions accurately in ERP/accounting system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Textile ERP).
Support month-end and year-end closing by reconciling accounts payable ledger.
Assist in preparing cash flow projections and payable reports for management.
4. Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with company financial policies, taxation (Sales Tax, Income Tax withholding), and audit requirements.
Maintain proper documentation for audit and internal control purposes.
Support import payment documentation, including TT, LC, and custom duties reconciliation.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with procurement, stores, and production teams to verify receipt of goods and services.
Liaise with suppliers to handle queries, discrepancies, and payment confirmations.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com, M.Com, ACCA, or MBA Finance preferred).
Experience:
3–5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable within the textile or manufacturing sector.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and vendor management processes.
Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable cycles, taxation laws, import documentation, and LC procedures.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or local textile ERP).
Sound understanding of cost allocation to production departments (Spinning, Weaving, Dyeing, Garments).
