Accounts Payable Manager – Full-Time in Boston

A growing commercial real estate accounting team is seeking an experienced AP Manager to oversee high-volume accounts payable operations and vendor relationships. This is a hands-on role with ownership of the AP function and an opportunity to modernize processes, including a potential transition to electronic payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all AP operations in MRI, including invoice processing, check cutting (~800–1,000/month), 1099 preparation, and vendor maintenance.
  • Ensure timely payments of company obligations, including loans and real estate taxes.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support process improvements and special projects, including electronic payment integration.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of AP experience, ideally in real estate or mortgage accounting.
  • Proficiency with high-volume check processing, vendor management, and 1099 reporting.
  • Experience with MRI or similar accounting systems preferred.
  • Highly organized, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented, with ability to work independently.
