A growing commercial real estate accounting team is seeking an
experienced AP Manager
to oversee high-volume accounts payable operations and vendor relationships. This is a hands-on role with ownership of the AP function and an opportunity to modernize processes, including a potential transition to electronic payments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all AP operations in MRI, including invoice processing, check cutting (~800–1,000/month), 1099 preparation, and vendor maintenance.
Ensure timely payments of company obligations, including loans and real estate taxes.
Maintain organized physical and digital records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Support process improvements and special projects, including electronic payment integration.
Qualifications:
10+ years of AP experience, ideally in real estate or mortgage accounting.
Proficiency with high-volume check processing, vendor management, and 1099 reporting.
Experience with MRI or similar accounting systems preferred.
Highly organized, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented, with ability to work independently.
