We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle with accuracy and efficiency, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and financial standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Process full-cycle accounts payable, including collecting invoices, verifying supporting documentation, coding, obtaining approvals, and entering data into the financial system.
  • Prepare and issue payments by printing and mailing checks or initiating electronic transfers.
  • Research and resolve invoice coding discrepancies and vendor payment issues.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, ensuring all invoices are accounted for and paid.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including W-9 forms and tax documentation.
  • Issue annual 1099 tax certification documents to vendors as required.
  • Assist with process improvements and contribute to an efficient AP workflow.

  • Timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • High internal and external stakeholder satisfaction with service delivery.
  • Responsiveness to inquiries within agreed timeframes with thorough follow-through.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–3 years of high-volume Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Solid understanding of AP policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment and maintain high attention to detail.
