Accounts Payable Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with detail and precision, and wants to be part of a company where their contributions truly matter.

You’ll play a key role in managing the company’s payables process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance- all while supporting the financial strength of a well- established and growing homebuilding organization.

Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports accurately and efficiently
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain organized records
• Ensure all payments are made in accordance with company policies and deadlines
• Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally
• Assist with month-end closing and other accounting functions as needed
• Other projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred; experience in the construction or homebuilding industry is a plus.
• Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and positive attitude
• Accounting software experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel a plus

Projected Total Compensation: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
