Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced accounting team. This role is based in Innsbrook (just outside Richmond, VA) and offers a contract-to-hire path with a significant salary increase upon conversion .

What You’ll Do:

• Process high-volume PO and non-PO invoices (required experience)
• Code invoices to GL accounts and cost centers
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor statements and manage payment inquiries
• Assist with weekly check runs, wire transfers, and audits
• Maintain vendor records, W9s, and organized documentation

What We’re Looking For:

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of AP or accounting experience
• Proven experience handling high-volume invoicing environments
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and follow-up abilities
