Accounts Payable Specialist – 1st Shift

$28–$31 per hour | Direct Hire Opportunity

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a 1st‑shift direct hire role with one of our clients. This position is ideal for a seasoned AP professional who has 7–8 years of full‑cycle AP experience , strong vendor management skills, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment. If you’re detail‑oriented, efficient, and confident managing high‑volume AP workflows, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle full‑cycle Accounts Payable , including invoice processing, coding, 3‑way matching, and routing for approvals.
  • Process high‑volume invoices accurately and on schedule.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies, pricing issues, and vendor disputes.
  • Manage vendor relationships and maintain up‑to‑date records of payment terms and outstanding balances.
  • Prepare and execute payment runs (checks, ACH, wires).
  • Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate AP aging.
  • Support month‑end close with accruals, reporting, and documentation.
  • Assist with audits by gathering transaction details, backup, and verification.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with procurement, finance, and operations.

Qualifications

  • 7–8 years of Accounts Payable experience (required).
  • Strong ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, or similar).
  • High accuracy and attention to detail in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables preferred).
  • Strong problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
