Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for all accounts payables processing, data entry, reconciliations, and vendor relations while working in alignment with Graniterock’s Strategic Priorities and business objectives.

Essential Job Accountabilities

1. Comply, understand, and promote corporate and division safety initiatives to ensure “Safety Before All Else.”

2. Provide excellent customer service by providing general information, answer vendor and division’s questions and work as a contributing team member to Graniterock’s collaborative culture and One Company approach.

3. Sort, organize and scan accounts payable documents for timely payment processing.

4. Identify and resolve daily invoice issues in the DataServ system to ensure accurate accounting records.

5. Review and reconcile open purchase orders to verify accurate voucher match documentation for payable processing.

6. Provide backup to other Accounts Payables team members to ensure timely completion and compliance with Company policies and General Accepted Accounting Principles.

7. Support implemented internal controls to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.

8. Match checks, creating new vendor files, check statements, and request invoices to ensure reliable accounting records.

9. Provide back up support and administrative responsibilities including filing, data entry, sorting of truck tags and reconciling with invoices to maintain efficient workflow for the Accounts Payable team.

Education and Work Experience

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 2-5 years Accounting experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of account reconciliations for both GL and vendor accounts
  • Accurate and quick data entry
  • Microsoft Office skills Excel proficiency
  • General office and 10-key skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to perform tasks simultaneously while working under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.20 - $31.92 per hour
