Accounts Payable Specialist

Swanson-Erie Corporation, a leader in designing and building multiple station automatic assembly machines is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for its operations in Erie, PA.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Essential Job Functions:

• Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization
• Performing the 3 Part Match (PO, Vendor Invoice, Receiver), coding invoices for general ledger accounts, scheduling payments, processing payments, running reports, filing documents and reports
• Enter data accurately into various accounting software systems
• Maintain detailed accounts payable records for audit purposes
• Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments or account discrepancies
• Collaborate with other departments such as procurement to ensure seamless financial operations
• Beneficial to be comfortable with the Microsoft Suite (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Telephone switchboard duties throughout the day (15 to 20 calls per day average)

Minimum / Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Degree minimum required; 2-year Business Degree preferred
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
