Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is a construction company with an exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The role is in Tysons Corner, VA and is 100% in office. The Accounts Payable Specialist will join a team responsible for processing high volume vendor payable invoices, including expense reports, journal entries, and coding of invoices. Candidates looking for growth within their accounting career are highly encouraged to apply. The Accounts Payable Specialist ideally will have experience managing a high volume fully cycle payables processing system and payment processing experience. Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the AP Manager and will be responsible for the following duties:

• Process high volume invoices for multiple properties and sites
• Manage the system for all payables including process improvement and policy review
• Code, match, batch, and processes checks and ACHs
• Posting GL journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and accruals
• Set-up new vendors within ERP System
• Process credit card reconciliations, EFTs & ACHs
• Process 1099s and W9s
• Resolve discrepancies with payments and vendor inquires
• Track monthly accruals and variance in vendor payments
• Manage the sales & uses tax processing
