Rogers Service Group has been in business since 1947! We do household and commercial moves (local and over the road), transportation, rigging, record storage. shredding, and warehouse storage at a number of locations. "We do more than you think". We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Duties
- Match Purchase Orders with invoices and supporting documents
- Ensure they are approved by the appropriate manager
- Data enter invoices into QuickBook and code them accordingly
- Review and analyze invoice pricing in accordance with current vendor contracts
- Review statements/invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Determine if invoices should be taxed or not, and if they are billable to the customer
- Set up and maintain new vendors (QuickBooks, W-9s, tax Exempt forms)
- Review Vendor contracts for renewal
- Complete Highway Use Tax (MT 903) and IFTA reports
- Keep up with vehicle and equipment records
- Keep up with employee uniforms and compare to invoices
- Cover the front desk on Fridays and lunches
- Complete remote bank deposits and credit card deposits (as well as process credit cards)
- Other office duties as assigned
- Assist with audits by providing documentation, supporting schedules, and explanations of payable transactions as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (Associates degree in Accounting or Business is preferred)
- 2 years of Accounts Payable or Accounting Experience (Trucking industry preferred, not required
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Especially Excel)
- Must be detail-oriented and be a multi-tasker
- Must be professional and articulate on the phone
- Must possess excellent communication skill and customer service
- Able to follow directions
- Must have excellent time management skills (Able to meet deadlines)
- Must be a team player and willing to learn
- Organization is required
- Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail; ability to identify discrepancies quickly
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Don't be afraid to ask questions
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
