Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounts payable functions while ensuring our local branch office runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and enter invoice batches accurately into the system.
• Reconcile vendor statements, purchase orders (POs), and incoming invoices.
• Process credit card transactions and handle employee expense report reconciliations.
• Generate and process backup reports following system data entry.
• Act as the main point of contact for general office maintenance and facilities.
• Manage annual W-9 maintenance and 1099 filings in compliance with US tax requirements.
• Create and maintain Business Partner (BP) cards for domestic vendors, ensuring compliance with local procedures

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role (experience in General Ledger is a plus)
• Educational background in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) with advanced/strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of SAP is considered a major asset.
• Exceptional organization, time-management, and multitasking abilities with a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team player who collaborates effectively across different departments
