Accounts Payable Specialist/Payroll

Job Summary
We are a 100 year old industrial distribution company seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist/Payroll professional to join our 6 person finance team. In this multifaceted role, you will be part of the accounts payable processes, ensure accurate and timely payroll administration, and support various accounting functions. Your expertise will help maintain financial accuracy, streamline payroll operations, and uphold compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions efficiently, including invoice entry, vendor payment setups, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as NetSuite or similar platforms.
• Payroll operations by administering employee compensation, benefits, tax deductions, and compliance through systems like Paychex or similar systems.
• Ensure accurate data entry for payroll and accounts payable records while maintaining meticulous documentation for audit purposes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts related to accounts payable and payroll to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other human resources and benefits administration personnel to process employee changes, benefits enrollments, and related payroll adjustments. Skills
• Proficiency in payroll management software such as Paychex or similar systems is essential.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Experience with NetSuite accounting software is a huge plus and highly desirable!
• Familiarity with Paychex and other human resources systems and benefits administration processes.
• Excellent data entry skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data effectively and perform account reconciliation with precision.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
