Responsibilities
Kforce's client, a growing, fast-paced organization in the greater Boston, MA area, is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis. Summary: This is a high-impact role stepping in to support the accounting function during a period of transition, with strong visibility to leadership and the opportunity to influence processes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, can manage multiple priorities, and brings a hands-on, analytical approach to accounting operations. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee accounts payable workflows, including invoice approvals and payment coordination across multiple entities

Review and validate work completed by support teams, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Prepare and analyze financial data, including income statements and variance analysis

Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and recommend solutions

Assist with journal entries and general ledger activity as needed

Manage high-volume transaction activity across multiple business units

Utilize large Excel-based tracking tools and dashboards to monitor workflows and priorities

Support ongoing process improvements within accounting operations
Requirements

Experience in accounting in a fast-paced environment with excellent organization skills

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, large dataset management)

Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks (or similar platforms)

Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills

Comfortable working across multiple entities or business units

Ability to manage competing deadlines and shifting priorities
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
