Accounts Receivable Accountant

Quality Manufacturing Corporation, a fast-paced metal fabrication company, is looking to add an Accounts Receivable Accountant to the accounting department. This position will primarily focus on the timeliness and accuracy of the customer ordering, shipping, and billing process.

Education

• 2 year degree in an Accounting or related field

Position Requirements

• Ensure timely and accurate entry of new customer orders
• Coordinate with EDI Managed Services to ensure timely and accurate EDI transactions
• Review prices on sales order lines to ensure customer loaded prices are accurate
• Prepare and distribute customer invoices
• Process incoming customer payments and accurately apply to customer accounts
• Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with customers
• Facilitate payment of past due invoices by following up with customer contacts
• Prepare customer statements when requested
• Answer customer questions related to open orders, shipments, invoices and customer accounts
• Review unshipped past due order lines and coordinate with Sales and/or customers for order validation
• Maintain current accurate customer account data
• Process customer charge backs for returned items, supplied parts and warranty claims
• Serve as a backup for other areas of the accounting department

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

• Associate (Required)

Experience:

• Accounts receivable: 2 years (Required)
• Manufacturing industry: 2 years (Preferred)
