Accounts Receivable Manager (CONSTRUCTION EXP. REQUIRED)

Overview
We are looking for an AR Manager to lead accounts receivable operations across our Kansas City-area billing teams and support our growing national platform. This is a high-impact leadership role with a clear path to Director of AR and broader finance leadership.

We are a PE-backed national platform of best-in-class electrical infrastructure businesses specializing in intelligent traffic systems and infrastructure services. We are rapidly expanding through acquisitions while standardizing our finance and accounting operations, with a vision to lead in managing traffic infrastructure assets through operational excellence and proactive maintenance. Our clients include Departments of Transportation and municipal agencies across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Manage local billing teams, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections within a construction/professional services environment
• Serve as the escalation point for complex collections issues and billing cycle challenges, driving resolution and minimizing DSO
• Develop and implement standardized AR processes and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy across billing and collections
• Leverage construction ERP systems (Vista Viewpoint, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar) to optimize AR workflows and reporting
• Coordinate cross-functionally with finance, project management, and operations teams
• Travel approximately once per month to support onsite AR activities and team alignment
• Experience with Vista Viewpoint ERP strongly preferred
• Proven track record managing AR or billing teams and handling collections escalations
• Strong process improvement mindset — able to identify gaps and build scalable, consistent workflows
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Background in construction, engineering, or professional services finance preferred

• Experience with Vista Viewpoint ERP: They emphasized the need for someone familiar with Vista, highlighting its importance for managing billing and collections effectively within their systems.
• AR Team Management & Escalation: The role requires managing local billing teams and handling escalations in collections and billing cycles, so strong leadership and problem-solving skills in AR operations are critical.
• Process Standardization & Review: They want someone who can create and implement standard processes and reviews to bring consistency and efficiency to the AR function, addressing current gaps and scaling needs.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
