Accounts Receivable Representative

This position handles a multitude of accounting related tasks and functions, which primarily supports areas of Accounts Receivable.

The job is responsible for the following activities:

· Entering all cash receipts (including checks, wires, and ACH payments)

· Data Entry

· Opening and sorting mail

· Freight Claims

· Assisting the A/R functions with clerical work and data entry

· Documentation retrieval for the annual financial statement audit

· Applying adjustments

· POD processing

The Accounting Assistant is a position that heavily supports the primary functions of the Accounts Receivable department.

The major challenge of this position is the constant jumping around from task to task, depending on the current work load within each area of responsibility. The Accounting Assistant needs to constantly be balancing the needs of several areas to determine which is priority.

This position relies heavily on fast and accurate data entry.

This position is responsible for working with many different areas within the organization, including warehouses, accounting staff, and purchasing department.

Requirements:

The Accounting Assistant must have a minimum of a High School Diploma. Data entry, filing, basic bookkeeping or related experience is recommended. Proven communication skills and ability to use Excel, Word & Outlook is preferred. Custom software requirements will be trained as needed.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 PM
