We’re seeking a hands‑on manager to govern trade credit risk, guide collections strategy, and partner across the business to accelerate cash while protecting Manitowoc’s position.
- North America program ownership: single point of contact for credit evaluations, resolving outstanding receivables, and customer complaint resolution.
- UCC rigor and title protection for MCG’s assets: timely documentation, renewal tracking, and electronic record retention on the shared drive.
- External partnerships: primary liaison with NCS (U.C.C. provider), banks, trade references, D&B, and outside collection firms.
- Credit horizon scanning: analyze financial statements and Dun & Bradstreet reports; set and recommend prudent credit limits.
- Commercial enablement: review/approve Whole Goods Purchase Orders with clear credit risk analysis.
- Revenue rhythm: participate in weekly revenue calls; collaborate with the VP of Sales to identify financing and credit risks early.
- Cash visibility: coordinate and deliver a weekly cash forecast; surface known and potential collection headwinds.
- Risk transparency: bad debt analysis; annual customer credit reviews; reporting to senior management.
- Backlog oversight: ensure credit lines can support each dealer’s financing needs.
- Continuous improvement: co‑lead process improvement with the Director; capture associate feedback to elevate collections and customer service.
- Issue resolution: support the Director and team on complex credit/collections/A/R matters; own specific accounts or portfolios when needed.
- Operations management and supply chain optimization experience; understanding of manufacturing processes and lean methods.
- ERP fluency (Infor LN, Oracle); advanced Excel (formulas, pivots, macros); Power BI proficiency.
- Cross‑functional leadership, strategic thinking, and outstanding communication.
- Collaborative relationship‑builder and skilled negotiator across departments and with customers.
- Strong problem solver who manages multiple priorities with precision and attention to detail.
- Clear, confident communicator; protects confidential information.

- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 7–10 years in Credit & Collections.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict with professionalism.
- Team‑first collaborator willing to step beyond role boundaries to achieve company financial goals.
- Bonus points for a Master’s in Accounting or Finance.
- Systems: Infor LN, Oracle, Excel (advanced), Power BI.
- Work setting: office and shop floor; PPE required on the floor.
- Travel: approximately 10% domestic.
