Overview: Kinetics Group is seeking an experienced Acoustic Application Engineer to develop acoustic solutions for HVAC, industrial, architectural, and interior acoustic applications. The role involves performing acoustic assessments, preparing technical reports and submissions, selecting appropriate acoustic products, and providing engineering support to sales, estimation, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform acoustic calculations and assessments for HVAC, industrial, architectural, and interior acoustic projects.
- Develop noise and vibration control solutions for duct systems, mechanical equipment, plantrooms, generators, and chillers.
- Design and recommend architectural and interior acoustic treatment systems to meet project performance requirements.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify acoustic requirements and propose suitable solutions.
- Prepare acoustic reports, technical submissions, engineering calculations, and compliance documentation.
- Provide technical support to sales, estimation, procurement, and project teams during proposal development and project execution.
- Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, consultant discussions, and value engineering activities.
Skills & Attributes Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in acoustic design, HVAC noise control, architectural acoustics, or noise and vibration control solutions.
- Strong understanding of building acoustics, room acoustics, HVAC noise control, and vibration isolation principles.
- Experience with acoustic products such as silencers, acoustic louvers, barriers, enclosures, absorption panels, and ceiling baffles.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and perform acoustic engineering calculations.
- Strong technical reporting, communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- UAE/GCC project experience and familiarity with regional acoustic standards are preferred.
