THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced tutor to join our team as a specialist in ACT and SAT test preparation for high school students. As the ACT and SAT Test Prep Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in helping students achieve their highest potential and excel in their college entrance exams. Your expertise in these standardized tests and your ability to provide personalized guidance will empower students to confidently approach the challenges of these assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions preparing students for the ACT and SAT exams.
• Assess students' strengths and areas of improvement to tailor individualized study plans.
• Teach essential test-taking strategies and techniques
• Create engaging and interactive lessons that effectively cover all sections of the ACT and SAT tests.
• Administer practice tests and mock exams to monitor students' progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to motivate students and instill confidence.
• Stay updated with the latest ACT and SAT test formats and content changes.
• Collaborate with students' parents or guardians, offering periodic progress reports.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

All applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Have a bachelor’s degree – complete and not in progress.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5 from university or college.
• Have at least two years of ACT and SAT tutoring experience.
• Are able to achieve an elite score on the tests (top 1%).
• A true appreciation for working with kids and an ability to quickly bond with them.
• The ability to reliably and follow administrative tasks and email correspondence.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Northridge, CA 91330
