Activity Assistant (with Transportation Support)

Courtyard Adult Day Center is a medical adult day program supporting older adults, including those living with dementia. We provide a structured, engaging day that includes cognitive activities, movement, social connection, and personalized support in a safe, welcoming environment.

Our goal is simple: to create meaningful days for our participants while supporting families with trusted, compassionate care.

The Activity Assistant is a hands-on, interactive role supporting daily programming and participant engagement. This position also includes assisting with transportation using our 8-passenger shuttle (no CDL required).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Activity Director with daily activities including cognitive, social, and creative programming
• Encourage participation and engagement for individuals at all ability levels
• Support a structured, calm, and welcoming daily environment
• Build relationships with participants and understand their preferences
• Assist with set-up, transitions, engagement and clean-up throughout the day
• Work closely with the team to ensure safety and quality of care
• Assist with transportation of participants as needed (8-passenger shuttle)
• Support community outings and special events
• Complete light documentation and activity tracking
• Maintain participant confidentiality (HIPAA compliant)
• Follow all safety, infection control, and program policies
• Participate in training and ongoing team development
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for shuttle use)
