As a member of the Actuarial Department, the Actuarial Analyst is responsible for supporting actuarial functions, including loss reserving, experience rating, rate making, and regulatory filings. This role contributes to the development of actuarial opinions and ensures compliance with statutory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and analysis of loss reserves for property and casualty insurance lines.
Support the development of statutory actuarial opinions and regulatory filings.
Conduct experience rating and rate-making analyses to support pricing strategies.
Collaborate with regulatory bodies on rate filing issues and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Analyse data trends and provide actuarial insights to support business decisions.
Support credit life insurance rate formula applications and filing processes.
Develop and maintain actuarial models and documentation to support actuarial functions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science , Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Progress towards actuarial credentials (e.g., ASA, ACAS) preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in actuarial software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python).
Knowledge of property and casualty insurance principles and regulations.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
