Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the monthly calculation of life technical reserves for each line of business by analyzing policy data, applying actuarial models, and ensuring compliance with actuarial and accounting standards.
Support the valuation of Embedded Value and Value of New Business for each line of business by applying actuarial techniques, financial models, and policy data to evaluate profitability and long-term sustainability.
Support the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual actuarial reports to the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist in performing experience studies (e.g., mortality, lapse, expense) to support the development and refinement of actuarial valuation assumptions.
Support the calculation of liability projections for the quarterly Asset-Liability Management (ALM) exercise by modeling future cash flows and analyzing duration and cash flow matching to ensure alignment with backing assets and support financial stability.
Support the maintenance and enhancement of actuarial models (e.g., Prophet, Excel-based tools) used for reserving and financial projections.
Support life insurance IT system developments by providing actuarial expertise through data requirement analysis, validation of system outputs, and resolution of data inconsistencies to improve accuracy and operational efficiency.
Monitor investment fund prices and assess required cash injections on a bi-weekly basis to ensure sufficient asset backing for liabilities.
Job Qualifications:
1 – 3 years of experience preferably in life insurance valuation, reserving
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences or a related field
Pursuing Actuarial exams through the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (UK) or the Society of Actuaries (USA) with key progress made in core technical subjects or their equivalent.
Exposure to valuation & reserving is preferred
