A&D (Architect & Designer) Account Manager

We are looking for a dynamic A&D Sales Representative to join our Los Angeles-based team. This role is focused on building and nurturing relationships with architects, interior designers, and design firms to grow brand awareness, provide technical support, and drive sales of our unique decorative finishes.

This position is primarily based in our office, focusing on outbound calls and email outreach to business owners nationwide, with occasional travel to visit clients across the country.

This position is responsible for driving sales and profitability by developing and growing targeted accounts within an assigned territory. The Sales Representative will manage and support existing customers, while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with paint distributors nationwide. Responsibilities include creating and executing business plans, implementing marketing programs, and building strong customer relationships to expand product offerings. This role also involves conducting product presentations, providing training, and consistently prospecting to grow the customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with architects, designers, and specifiers nationwide.
  • Train and educate store staff and sales reps about Meoded products.
  • Promote Meoded’s products through presentations, lunch-and-learns, showroom visits, and project consultations.
  • Identify and track upcoming projects, ensuring our products are specified early in the design process.
  • Conducts substrate, surface condition, and project assessments for the purpose of writing project appropriate specifications.
  • Collaborate with the internal sales team to follow up on leads, track project pipelines, and close sales.
  • Stay current on design trends and competitor offerings to position Meoded as a go-to resource for decorative wall finishes.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to represent the brand and build new relationships.
  • Must be able to travel for a 2-3 days at a time to visit clients for product training and event participation.
  • Keep a detailed and accurate CRM.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the architecture, interior design, or building materials industry.
  • Strong network or ability to build one within the A&D (Architecture & Design) community in Los Angeles and beyond.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident in leading product demos and client meetings.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and organized with a passion for design and aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior sales experience with Dunn Edwards, Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, etc. is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
